A whole nursing semester on one screen.
Students in an accelerated nursing program were checking four systems to find out what was due. We built one app that brings the coursework together and turns each student's own course material into practice tests, without ever asking for a school password.

The problem
Four systems to check, and no practice from the real material.
An accelerated nursing program moves fast. Assignments and quizzes are in Canvas, test preparation is in ATI, announcements are in school email, and the class, lab and clinical times are on a separate schedule. Knowing what is due tomorrow meant opening all of them.
Studying had the same problem. Generic question banks do not match what a particular instructor taught, and the slides that do match are locked in course files.
The work
What we built
One list of what is due
Canvas assignments, quizzes and ATI modules sit beside class, lab and clinical times in one to-do list, ordered by when it matters.
Practice tests from the real thing
Pick an upcoming exam and get a practice test built from that exam's own content, with an explanation for every missed question and a link to where it came from.
Study guides that keep up
A fill-in study guide for every unit, side by side with the answer key, rewritten when new slides arrive. Licensing-exam drills focus on the areas each student needs most.
A browser extension that only reads
The extension reads the Canvas and ATI tabs the student is already signed in to. It never signs in for them and never writes anything back.
An app that works offline
It installs to a phone's home screen. Practice attempts taken without a signal sync when the phone reconnects.
Study groups with boundaries
Students can share a group, a link or a course page and talk in one thread. Grades and email stay out of it unless the student turns sharing on.

How it works
How the coursework gets in
Invite
A student joins with an invite code.
Pair
The browser extension is paired to their account.
Sync
It reads their signed-in Canvas and ATI pages.
Organize
Due dates, schedules, files and grades in one place.
Practice
Tests and guides written from their own material.
Privacy designed in, and limits stated plainly
- There is no field for a school, Canvas or ATI password anywhere in the app. Account passwords are stored only as a strong one-way hash.
- A page inside the app lists exactly what is stored for each account, where it came from and the limits on it.
- The database is copied to encrypted private storage every five seconds, and the server's own disk is wiped on every restart.
- The app says what it cannot do: practice questions can be wrong, the official grade is the one in Canvas, and there is no uptime guarantee.
Why it matters
What this means for your business
MyNurse handles the kind of data most companies are nervous about putting near AI. It shows how we build for that: collect only what is needed, never hold a credential we do not have to, tell the user exactly what is stored, and be honest about where the AI can be wrong.
MyNurse is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any school, Instructure (Canvas), Microsoft, Google or ATI Nursing Education.
