Majic AI / Our work / Majic MSP
Case study · IT · Remote management
The remote management platform behind our NOC.
Before we managed anyone else's network we had to manage our own: two server stacks, a fleet of AI machines and the office computers, across three operating systems. We built the platform to do it, and it is now what runs our managed services.

The problem
Off-the-shelf tools watch machines. We needed one that could act.
Our own fleet is not simple. It has domain controllers, web and database servers, and AI machines with graphics cards that overheat and fans that fail. Problems show up at night, and a dashboard that only turns red does not fix anything.
We wanted one system that knows every machine, can run a fix on it safely, and is open enough that our AI agents can use the same controls a technician does.
The work
What we built
An agent on every machine
A small program installs on Windows, Linux or macOS and connects outward to the platform. No inbound ports are opened and no router settings change.
Health, heartbeats and alerts
Every machine reports in. A monitor notices when one goes quiet and emails us, so the alert does not depend on the machine that failed.
Remote commands with an audit trail
A technician can run a command or a script on one machine or many from one console. Sensitive actions need a higher permission, and every action is recorded.
Secure remote access
Each machine gets a private, secure address reachable from anywhere. The connection repairs itself if it drops, and the firewall is set sensibly by default.
A locked vault for credentials
Logins, keys and access codes live in one admin-only vault, with access granted per machine.
An API our AI agents can use
Everything the console does is available through an API, with scoped permissions. That is how AI agents on our Majic AI plans diagnose and fix issues on their own.
How it works
What happens when a machine has a problem
It reports in
Or stops reporting, which is itself the signal.
The alert
Raised from the platform, at any hour.
Automatic fix
Routine problems are restarted and logged.
Remote technician
Commands run from the console, on the record.
On site
A local technician is dispatched when it needs hands.
Under the hood
- Every company on the platform is separated. A technician sees only the machines of the companies they are assigned to.
- Permissions are scoped: reading device status, running standard commands and running sensitive commands are three different grants.
- Our own platform's health is published live, without a login. We would rather show it than describe it.
Why it matters
What this means for your business
When you take a managed plan from us, this is what watches your network, cameras, doors and computers. It is not a reseller dashboard we rent. We wrote it, we run our own company on it, and we can change it when your site needs something it does not do yet.

The people who built Majic MSP are the people you would work with. A first call costs nothing, and we will tell you plainly whether we are the right fit.
